Dumai port (port code: IDDUM) is mainly a medium-sized crude oil shipment harbour in Indonesia. It is located on the south side of Rupat Strait, on the mainland coast of Sumatera.
The terminal of the port contains 640 square meters to serve domestic travelers and 360 square meters for international travelers. It also has storage areas with a total of 19,000 square meters of area and capacity for 30.5 tons of cargo. There are six berths that are 885 meters long in total. The cargo berth is 348 meters long with alongside depth of 9 meters. The multi-purpose berth is 400 meters long with alongside depth of 10 meters. There are also general cargo handling facilities and a large trade in the export of logs.
The port handles approximately 6.9 million tons of cargo and 6,000 vessels. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are tankers, accounting for about 45.6%; and cargo vessels, taking up around 18.4%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 251 meters. The maximum draught is 12.5 meters. The maximum deadweight is 117055t.
