Gallipoli port (port code: ITGAL) is a medium-sized port in Italy. It is situated on the east coast of the Gulf of Taranto, on an island linked to the mainland by a bridge.
The harbour is safe and sheltered and accessed via a 250-meter-wide approach channel, 11.0 meters in depth. These depths are liable to change, and the port authority should be contacted for further advice.
The port handles approximately 254,000t of cargo annually. Cargoes handled include cement, coke and wine. Each year about 63 vessels and 870 passengers visit this port. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 33%, and tankers, taking up around 17%.
