Geelong port (port code: AUGEX) is a large commercial port in Australia. It occupies the west arm of Port Phillip Bay.
The port has 16 commercial berths stretching along the northwest, west and southwest shores of the bay. All commercial wharves and piers are owned and controlled by Geelong Port, with the exception of the Point Wilson Explosives Jetty, (Commonwealth Government) and the Bulk Grain Pier, Berth No 3, (Graincorp).
The post handles more than 11 million tons of cargo annually. The bulk goods handled include crude oil, petroleum, chemicals, aluminium, grain, steel products, timber products and fertilisers. A petroleum refinery accounts for one third of the port's traffic.
Each year approximately 491 vessels visit this port, among which about 32.5% are sailing vessel or yacht and 27% are cargo vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 256 meters. The maximum draught is 11.9 meters. The maximum deadweight is 119,456t.
