Port of Greenville (Port Code: LRGRE) is a port located in the southeastern region of Liberia, about 673.6 kilometers from the Freeport of Monrovia. The harbor is protected by a 400m long breakwater, and on its inner side, by two quays. There are two berthing facilities, 70m and 180m respectively, with an existing depth 6m below chart datum.
It has barge loading/unloading/transloading as well as harbor and fleeting services. The principal export is forest products. Dredging has started (April 2012) to increase depth to 9m alongside. Approximately 109,000m³ of forestry products are handled annually. It aims at facilitating economic development in the Mississippi Delta through logistics facilities and services, industrial and commercial development, and the development of a national and international intermodal transportation system. The Ports wharf-type double pier and covered overhead bridge crane (60-ton lift capacity) allows the Port all-weather transloading between rail, truck and barge.
