Hakodate port (port code: JPHKD) is a large port in Japan, serving as a gateway to the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan. Situated on the southern tip of Hokkaido Island facing the Tsugaru Strait, it is an important centre for commerce and transportation not only for Hokkaido but also northern Honshu.
