Heiligenhafen port (port code: DEHHF) is a large port in Denmark. It is situated on Germany's Baltic coast, approximately 50 kilometers directly east of Kiel.
The outer harbour of this port is protected from east by a breakwater, 380 meters in length, extending north-northeast and north from the shore. Its north extremity is floodlit. On the west of the outer harbour is the inner harbour which is protected on its north side by a quay, 60 meters in width, and forms the south side of the large yacht harbour further northwest. From the head of the north quay, a mole extends east for approximately 150 meters, and a short spur extends southeast, separating the inner and outer harbours. There are two harbours, one for commercial and fishing vessels use while the other for yachts only.
This port handles approximately 65 vessels and 75,000t of cargo annually. The primary cargo handled is grain. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are passenger vessels, accounting for 12%; and general cargo vessels, taking up 9%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 90 meters. The maximum draught is 4.2 meters. The maximum deadweight is 3357t.
