Hiroshima port (port code: JPHIJ) is a large port in Japan. It is situated on the delta of the Ota River on the Inland Sea coast of Honshu, almost midway between the Kansai and Kyushu regions, approximately 30 kilometers northwest of Kure.
This international ferry terminal provides transport to South Korea’s Busan and Ulsan as well as other ports in China. Its passenger terminal is located at the Ujina Foreign Trade Wharf near the Streetcar Station (a 15-minute walk). The passenger berth is 925 meters long with alongside depth of 10 meters. It operates services to many locations including Etajima and Matsuyama.
With an excellent harbor, this port continues to grow as an international trading port and as a center for tourism. It handles approximately 12,200,000t of cargo and 210,000TEU annually. Main exports from this port are automobiles and main imports to this port include LNG, timber, wheat and barley.
