Port of Jakarta (Port Code:IDJKT), commonly known as Tanjung Priok, is currently being expanded to facilitate the movement of the largest container ships currently in service, including the larger ships of the future. It is a sheltered port built partially on reclaimed land serving the country's capital city. The port handles most types of cargo including dry and liquid bulk, containers, liquefied gas, Ro-Ro and breakbulk. In addition to conventional berths, an offshore LNG terminal is in operation approx. 8 n.m. off the coast. There are also facilities for military and fishing vessels.
