Kaohsiung Port (Port Code: TWKHH) is located in southern Taiwan, adjacent to Kaohsiung City, and surrounded by the city districts of Gushan, Yancheng, Lingya, Cianjhen, Siaogang, as well as Cijin. As Taiwan’s largest harbor, it handles approximately 10.26 million twenty-foot equivalent units worth of cargo in 2015. The main import and export cargoes at Kaohsiung port include containers, petroleum, liquefied gas, coal, ore, chemical products, steel, scrap iron and steel, machinery and equipment, sugar, processed food, agricultural and sideline local products and cultural articles, etc. At present, the annual cargo handling capacity reaches about 200 million tons, which takes up more than half of Taiwan's import and export cargo.
