Kochin Port (port code: INCOK), also called Cochin Port, is the largest port in India. It is situated in southwest India in the province of Kerala.
The port has berths for general, coal and tanker cargoes, also specialised container transhipment berths. An offshore SBM capable of handling VLCC's has been recently commissioned. STS tanker operations in a designated anchorage area using Yokohama fenders is available.
The port handles approximately 15.2 million tons of cargo including 312,200TEU annually. The main exports from this port include seafood, coir products, cashew kernels, tea rubber and coconuts. The principal imports are mineral oils, chemicals and raw cotton.
Each year about 1,180 vessels and 15,930 passengers visit this port. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for around 36%, and tankers, taking up approximate 18.5%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 337 meters. The maximum draught is 16.5 meters. The maximum deadweight is 319,778t.
