Lafayette Port (port code: USLAF) is an inland port in Tippecanoe County, west-central Indiana, the United States. It is situated on the Wabash River, 63 miles (101 kilometers) northwest of Indianapolis, 125 miles (201 kilometers) southeast of Chicago, and about 5 miles (8 kilometers) northeast of the first fortified white settlement in Indiana, Fort Ouiatenon.
The port soon became an important shipping centre on the Wabash, with the first steamboats arriving in 1826. The Wabash and Erie Canal reached here in 1843, further contributing to its growth as a river entrepôt.
