Lihue Port (port code: USLIU) is the chief port of Kauai Island. It is situated on the eastern side of the island, in Hawaii, the United States, about 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) northwest of the deep-water Nawiliwili Harbor.
The port mainly handled sugarcane and sugar, which was the locality’s economic mainstay. But the export of sugarcane declined by the late 20th century. Many abandoned sugar mills are maintained as tourist sites.
