London Thamesport (port code: GBLTP), previously known as Thamesport, is a small port in the United Kingdom. It is situated 56 kilometers from central London in southeast England. It lies on the north Kent coast, in the south part of the Isle of Grain, on the north side of Saltpan Reach.
Built on the site of a former oil refinery, the port is a modern, fully operational deep sea container and cargo port, capable of handling the largest post Panamax vessels. It handles approximately 500,000 containers each year.
The types of vessels regularly visiting this port are offshore, tug, supply or dredging vessels, accounting for 41%; cargo vessels, taking up 28%; and tankers, taking a proportion of 25.6%. With a maximum draught of 13.5 meters and a maximum deadweight of 115,000t being allowed, the maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 250 meters.
