Malongo port (port code: AOMAL) is a crude oil and LPG terminal in Angola, operated by Chevron Cabinda Gulf Oil Company (CABGOC). It is situated 17 kilometers north of Cabinda.
The oil terminal consists of SBM Berths No 1 and 2. Crude oil from the Malongo onshore tank farm is transferred to export vessels via submarine pipelines and the Malongo’s SPMs. In Malongo LPG Terminal, LPG is stored in the storage tanker "Berge Troll" (maximum capacity 71,300 cubic meters, 42,920t). In Sanha LPG Terminal, LPG is stored in the storage tanker "Sanha LPG FPSO" (maximum capacity 135,000 cubic meters). The cargo is then transferred to the export vessel in a ship to ship alongside operation.
The types of vessels regularly calling at the port include passenger vessels, accounting for 40%, and offshore supply ships, taking up 16%. With a maximum draught of 16.8 meters and a maximum deadweight of 5,184t being allowed, the maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 101 meters.
