Mandal (Port Code:NOMDL) is Norway's most southern town and stands on the west bank of the river with Malmoy on the east bank. The deep water commercial port lies between Kleven and Gismeroya, about 0.7nm east of Mandal; and the deep water fuelling berth is at Homsvik (58°00.4'N 007° 30'E). Mandal is situated in the mouth of the Mandalselva, a river which flows into the head of Mannefjorden. The port comprises 3 harbours, Mandal, Gismeroya and Kleven. The main industries are shipbuilding, steel production and tourism. Approx 400 vessels and 84,000t of cargo handled annually. Max size: In Gismeroy 50,000DWT and max draught 10.5m, Mandal max draught 4.0m and Kleven max draught 8.5m.
