Marsa el Brega (Port Code:LYMEB), also spelled Marsā al-Burayqah, is a mediterranean port on the Gulf of Sidra in northeastern Libya. The port is primarily an offshore oil terminal. There are alongside berths for LNG, products and chemical traffic. Port Marsa El Brega can accommodate vessels to 220 meters long with draft of 10 meters. The sealines can handle vessels to 300 thousand DWT with unrestricted length and draft. Port Marsa El Brega’s Cargo jetty is 200 meters long with alongside depth of 9.2 meters, and it can accommodate vessels to 15 thousand DWT. Roll-on/roll-off vessels berth beside the jetty or to the stern of the dry cargo jetty. Tanker berths include three sealine berths: a product tanker quay, a liquefied gas quay, and an acid quay. There are also two jetties for methanol and ammonia.
