Marugame (Port Code:JPMAR) is a port city in western Kagawa Prefecture on Shikoku, located just west of the Seto Ohashi Bridge which connects Shikoku to Japan's main island of Honshu. For centuries, Marugame's location along the Seto Inland Sea has made it an important player in maritime trade and transportation through the region. The port has been developed on reclaimed land and is an open port. Products handled include logs, plywood, timber and general cargo. There is also a shipyard in the port. Approx 50 vessels handled annually. Max size: Draught 8.6m, 15,000DWT.
