Middelfart (Port Code:DKMID) is situated on the south side of Snaevringen abreast Lyngs Odde. Following its acquisition by Associated Danish Ports AS, the port facilities have been extended by 10,000m creating a total of 60,000m. Also included is 12,000m of warehousing most of which is already in use. Vessels up to 130m in length can now be moored alongside a new 100m pier and the port has been dredged to a depth of 9.0m, making it the second deepest in the Triangle Region Denmark. The chief export is grain. Principle imports include coal, coke, timber, iron wire and hoop iron.
