Miyazu (Port Code:JPMZU) is a small port infrequently visited by large vessels which are required to anchor or use the buoy mooring. It is situated on the Sea of Japan coast of Honshu on the southern side of Wakasa Wan. An Imperial decree in July 1899 established Miyazu as an open port for trading with the United States and the United Kingdom. Max size: No 2 Wharf: LOA 100m, draught 5.0m, 1,000GT.
