The Port of Moss (Port Code:NOMSS) is an efficient, environmentally certified and service-oriented main harbor. The harbor is located in the middle of the Oslo Fjord with a total length of 670 meters and is up to 11 meters deep.The ferry connection between Moss and Horten is the country's busiest national road connection at sea.
The port is divided into two areas, divided by an isthmus joining Jeloya to the mainland and connected by a canal with depth 4.4m, width 11.2m. The south part of the harbour is in Verlebukta and the north part in Mossesundet. The port handles containers, steel, bulk, general cargo, Ro-Ro traffic and passengers. Exports include: Cellulose and paper. Imports include: Corn, food, steel, liquid chemicals, glass, sand and other raw materials.
