Nauplia, or Navplio (Port Code:GRNAU), is a port town in northeastern Peloponnese (Greece) located close to Argolic Gulf's north end, on the southeast coast of Greece facing the Gulf of Nauplia. It is approx 90 kms (56 mi) southwest of Athens (the country's capital), and also close to Argos (11 km / 7 mi to the south) and Corinth Canal (48 km / 30 mi to the north).The port comprises an artificial harbour. Principal exports are citrus fruit, tomato puree, tinned food, beans, potatoes and fresh fruit. Imports include wheat, salt, fertiliser, cement and timber. Approx 95 vessels and 16,425 passengers handled annually. Max size: LOA 160m, beam 35m, draught 6.5m, 40,000DWT.
