Nevelsk (Port Code:RUNEV) is located on the Tatarskiy Strait within the Nevelskoy Bay. The port harbour is protected by a breakwater built on Naga reef. There are seven berths available. Vessels with draught exceeding 6.5m can be loaded or unloaded in the roadstead. Nevelsk is usually the only port on the coast of Ostrov Sakhalin to remain ice free throughout the year. Imports: Rice, mineral oil and coal. Exports: Timber, fish oil and cod. Max size: Alongside: LOA 100m, draught 6.5m, vessels over 5.8m draught require Harbour Master's permission before entering the port.
