Onehunga (Port Code:NZONE) is a large harbour with a water area of 394km2². Onehunga is situated on the northeast shore of Manukau Harbour, Auckland, 14.5nm from the Tasman Sea entrance. This rail linked port situated in the midst of South Auckland's industrial heartland, functions as one of New Zealand's most important fishing ports providing services to the New Zealand coastal trade. Principal cargoes: Cement, containers, Ro-Ro, aggregate, dolomite, fish and general cargo. There is a LPG Terminal at the N end of Papakura Channel, in Manukau Harbour. Approx 350,000t of cargo including 21,600TEU and 147 vessels are handled annually. Max size: LOA 95m, draught 4.9m.
