Onomichi-Itozaki (Port Code:JPONO) is a long thin port covering three cities (Mihara, Onomichi and Fukuyama) and the island of Mukaishima. Onomichi-Itozaki port is situated at the centre of the Seto Inland Sea Coast, in Hiroshima Prefecture. The port stretches 18km from east-west and is divided into 6 areas, with Area No 6 in the west and Area No 1 in the east. There are buoy moorings for two vessels at the anchorage, which is sheltered from strong winds by the island of Shikoku. Max size: Hataori Wharf: LOA 180m, draught 6.9m, 15,000DWT. Anchorage moorings: Depth 10.0m, 13,000DWT. Mukaishima Shipyard: LOA 220m, draught 5.5m, 55,000DWT.
