Panjang (Port Code:IDPNJ) is the largest seaport in southern Sumatera, having superseded Pelabuhan Telukbetung, which is situated on the southern end of Sumatera. The port consists of mooring buoys, landing stages and an oil jetty, and handles containers, oil, rubber, coffee, palm oil, pepper, timber, cattle fodder, corn and coal (Tarahan Terminal). Approx 2,800 vessels, 80,000TEU and 10,253,800t of cargo handled annually. Max size: Berth D-2: LOA 175m, beam 25m, draught 11.5m, 30,000DWT. Tarahan Terminal: Max LOA 190m, beam 28m, draught 11.0m, approx 40,000DWT.
