Portici Port (Port Code: ITPTI) is a small but busy port lying in the Gulf of Naples, approx 8nm southeast of the city of Naples. The port, protected by breakwaters, has 300m of quayage with depths alongside to 5.3m. There are no cranes and ships load and discharge using their own gear. The harbour area is considered safe but the entrance may be exposed during WSW'ly gales. Water, provisions and some bunkers are available, and small repairs can be effected, but for larger repairs, towage and agency services, the relevant addresses at Naples should be contacted. Fishing and agriculture (apples, pears, olives, nuts, and hemp) are carried on, and wine, fertilizer, and silk are produced inn the town.
