Puerto Deseado (Port Code: ARPUD) is a port located on the estuary at the mouth of the Deseado River. Situated at coordinates south 47° 45' 27.97" - west 065° 53' 59.48" in Argentina, it is one of Argentina’s most important fishing centers and provides facilities for processing fresh fish. The types of vessels regularly calling at the port are fishing vessel, trawler, fishing boat, oil/chemical tanker and container ship. The shoreline of commercial wharf is more than 300 meters long and the water depth is 8.50 meters. Trawlers and processing vessels equipped with processing equipment dock to unload frozen and fresh fish into cold storage for export.
