Puerto La Cruz (Port Code: VEPCZ) is a port located in Bahia de Pozuelos, on the northeastern coast of Venezuela, 130 n.m. east of Caracas. It is well protected against sea currents by numerous islands. The hurricane path is several hundred miles to the north and has never affected navigation in the Puerto La Cruz area. The port includes the oil terminals at Guaraguao, El Chaure and Los Cocos in the Bahia Bergantin, which belongs to Mochima National Park. The oil terminals are controlled from the port office and Customs house in Ciudad de Puerto La Cruz. The Guaraguao Terminal consists of 7 oil berths. El Chaure Terminal is considered to be Berth No 6 and Los Cocos Berth No 7. They are operated by PDVSA Petroleo and Gas SA.
