Ras Al Khafji (Port Code:SARAK) is an offshore terminal approx 15km off the NE coast of Saudi Arabia in the area of the Divided Zone of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It consists of four tanker loading berths and an anchorage area where general cargo vessels work cargo into barges. Vessels must ensure that they anchor within the prescribed limits, as numerous wellheads and pipelines exist on the seabed in the vicinity. Cargoes handled: Crude, naphtha and fuel oil. Traffic figures: Approx 60 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: SBM No 4: Draught 20.1m, 300,000DWT.
