Ras al Khaimah Port (Port Code: AERAK) is a port located at Arabian Gulf, Persian Gulf in United Arab Emirates at coordinates North 25° 48' 39.10" - East 055° 57' 45.80"
The port, which opened in 2003 with seven jetties, has been handling bulk materials such as rock and aggregate for construction projects in the Gulf. Two more multipurpose jetties are being added, taking the total to nine to meet the growth of bulk and break bulk cargo such as pelletised and bagged cement. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 101 meters. It is reported (February 2008) that there is to be a major new expansion programme at the port which will be upgraded to handle 1,700,000TEU, nearly five times its current capacity.of 350,000TEU.
