Reni Port (Port Code: UAREN) is a port located on the River Danube approx 54nm from the river's mouth. The port has 30 berths, located in 3 basins and can accommodate vessels with draught restricted only by the depths of the Sulina channel. It covers an area of 940,000 sq. m. Cargo handled includes general bulk, liquid bulk, foodstuffs, packaged cargo, as well as containers and Ro-Ro. Ice breakers are required to keep the port open during hard winter months. Approximately 81 vessels visit the port and 800,000 tons of cargo are handled at the port annually. The port is provided with the network of railways and has significant park of handling facilities and devices that allow handling cargoes of up to 250 t.
