The port of Reykjavik (Port Code: ISREY) is a port located on the southwestern coast of Iceland. The port and Akranes and Grundartangi ports have merged and are now known as Associated Icelandic Ports. Reykjavik has over 4,000m of quayage capable of accommodating fishing and cargo vessels. It is Iceland's central depot for petroleum products. There are two main harbour areas, the Gamla Hofnin (Old Harbour) handling fishing vessels, bunker barges and ship repairs and the Sundahofn, containing modern container, grain, cruise ship and Ro-Ro facilities. The approach to the harbour is unrestricted and ice free all the year round. Principal imports include oil products, fertilisers, cement and general cargo. Principal exports include fish products, general cargo, fertilisers and oil. Approximately 1,994,526 tons of cargo and 228,419TEU are handled by the port annually.
