Salina Cruz Port (Port Code: MXSCX) is a port situated at the head of the Gulf of Tehuantepec in the state of Oaxaca on the southern coast of Mexico. There is an inner and outer harbour and 3 offshore SPMs. The port has accommodation for general cargo, bulk and tanker vessels. The outer harbour is protected by 2 breakwaters, the east is 984m in length and the west is 330m in length. The water depth in the harbour varies, which is due to silting, however dredging is carried out. Pemex owns and operates the oil terminal and it is one of their largest petroleum installations on the western coast of Mexico with crude oil and petroleum products being exported to Central America, south America, the western coast of the United States and the Far East. Approximately 700 vessels, 13,000,000t of cargo, and 13,000TEU are handled annually by this port.
