Port of San Pedro is a coastal port city on the Gulf of Guinea in Côte d’Ivoire. On the right bank of the southwestern part of the San Pedro Estuary, it is more than 60 kilometers northeast of Sasandra. The port was built in 1968, and after completion in 1971, it became the second largest port in the country (after Abidjan). The population is more than 50,000 (1980). The port area can berth sea vessels with a draft of 10 meters. There are timber floating and loading docks and fishery trestle docks. The output is mainly wood. There are wood and agricultural products processing industries. There is a new road network connected to the hinterland. There are air stations.
