Sattahip Port (Port Code: THSAT) is a port lying on the northern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, at the head of a small bay protected by Phra Island. Developed as a naval base in the early 1920s, it served military purposes until the late 1970s. The deep-water port is an alternative to the Port of Bangkok's relatively shallow waters. It is linked to Bangkok by river and by a coastal road. At present, the port regularly serves fishing boats, offshore supply ship, military ops and general cargo vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 231 meters. The maximum draught is 7.5 meters. The maximum Deadweight is 31801t.
