The Port of Sept-Iles (Port Code: CASEI) is a natural deep-sea port located on Quebec’s North Shore within a 45-km2 circular bay. It is fully operational all year round. Benefiting from its strategic location, right at the entrance of the Gulf of the St. Lawrence, Sept-Iles is an important international distribution centre. It is North America’s largest ore-handling port, characterized by its deep waters and roughly 10-km wide semi-circular bay. The Port of Sept-Îles has fourteen docks, of which it owns nine. It has privileged location, at the heart of the main maritime routes between North America, Europe and Asia, as well as year-round access to the St. Lawrence.
