The Port of Seville (Port Code: ESSVQ) is a river port in Spain, located on the lower reaches of the Guadalquivir, in the city of Seville. It is the only commercial river port in the country. Operated by Port Authority of Seville, the port is navigable as far as Seville for vessels with dimensions that can be accepted by the entrance lock. Vessels up to 6.5m draught can be handled, while draughts are affected by frequent floods. The bottom of the river is sand and sludge. The port handles many types of cargo and is the main link in the transport chain between the Canary Islands and mainland Spain.
