Sitra Port (Port Code: BHSIT) is a port lying on the northeast coast of Bahrain, to the east of Mina Sulman port and the capital Manama. The port area is situated at the entrance to Mina Sulman and the Khor Qhaliya which is protected by the islands of Bahrain, Sitra and Muharraq. It is under the jurisdiction of the Bahrain Government Harbour Master at Mina Sulman. Sitra comprises a number of private jetties, handling dry and liquid bulk including petroleum products, chemicals and LPG. It is also an export center for the oil fields in northeastern Saudi Arabia. Approximately 750 vessels are handled annually.
