Stewart Port (Port Code: CASTT) is a port located at the end of the Portland Canal. It is British Columbia's most northerly deep-water port, close to the Alaska state boundary. Stewart has a barge terminal and an updated bulk commodity loader owned by Stewart Bulk Terminals Ltd. The economy of Stewart is supported by a varied range of industries including logging, mining and mining exploration and is destined to become a major port for distribution of ore and logs. The port is capable of handling deep sea traffic and remains navigable all year round.
