The Port of Subic Bay (Port Code: PHSPS/PHSFS) is a port lying on the eastern shores of the bay off the China Sea in southwestern Luzon, the main island of the Philippines. Operated and managed by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, it is one of the busiest, largest, historical and most important of ports in the Philippines. It handles most types of cargo including dry and liquid bulk, containers, Ro-Ro, passengers and breakbulk cargo. Subic Bay also handles military, fishing and shipyard traffic. The port has a capacity to handle 600,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit containers (TEUs) and there are 25 berths available. In 2016, it handled less than 200,000 TEU containers.
