Tanjung Pinang port (port code:IDTNJ/IDTPI ) is used as the gateway to Singapore, with crossings to Tanah Marah on the southeast coast. The port is located on the SE coast of Bintan Island, which forms part of the Riau Islands. The port is a transhipment and ferry harbour linking Bintan Island with Singapore. The main exports include rubber and fish products. Cargo is worked at inner anchorage in good weather and alongside. The port handles approx 70 vessels annually.
