Tashkent Port (Port Code: UZTAS) is a river port located in the east of Uzbekistan, to the west of the chatkar mountains. It is the Oasis Center of the qierqike Valley, a tributary of the right bank of the SYR river. Tashkent is one of the important commercial hubs on the ancient "Silk Road", through which the famous "Silk Road" passed. Although it lacks modern facilities and has a shortage of spare parts, activity there has increased as conditions in neighboring Afghanistan have stabilized.
