Tijuana Port (port code: MXTIJ) is a dry port in northwestern Baja California estado (state), northwestern Mexico. It lies along the Tecate River near the Pacific Ocean and is 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of San Diego, California, the United States. In the 20th century it became the main entry point to Mexico from California for American tourists. It is easily accessible by railroad and highway from the southwestern United States and from many points in Mexico.
