The port of Tiko (Port Code: CMTKC) is a port situated 30km west of Douala and 18nm up the Bimbia River on the eastern side of Tiko Island, joined to the mainland by a narrow causeway. General overview: The port area is considerably reduced in depth by sand bars. There is quayage for lighters which work vessels at the anchorage. Bananas, timber and rubber are exported. Approximately 28,880 tons of cargo is handled annually. The draught of the largest vessel recorded to having entered this port is 5.5 meters. The maximum Deadweight is 7000 t.
