Tumaco Port (Port Code: COTCO) is a port situated on the Pacific coast in Tumaco Bay, close to the border with Ecuador and approximately 450nm south of the Panama Canal. The port comprises berthing facilities for general and dry and liquid bulk cargoes in the commercial port area on Morro Island (El Morrito), and an offshore oil terminal (CBM) for the export of crude oil, which is located approx. 1 n.m. off the coast. The port handles the export of lumber and crude oil. Approximately 470 vessels visit the port annually.
