Vung Tau Port is located in Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province, Southeast region, Vietnam. The Port is a group of seaports, one of the sea transport hubs of Vietnam. Vung Tau Port includes Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port, Port of Phu My, Port on Dinh river and Port of Ben Dam. National Route 51 will connect Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port to Ho Chi Minh City and the manufacturing centres in Đồng Nai Province and Bình Dương Province. Vung Tau city faces the entrance of Saigon river. There are many beaches near the sea. This is the passage to and from Ho Chi Minh City by sea. It used to be a small fishing village, which was opened up as a resort during the French colonial period. It became the earliest tourist summer resort in Vietnam. Toudun covers an area of about 141 square kilometers and has a population of about 380000 (2012)
